I am a Coaching Professional and Speech and Language Therapist. I have significant experience working in the health, education, local government and voluntary sectors. In my coaching work I specialise in working with individuals and professionals who need support to be empowered and make life changes. In addition, I offer training in the use of coaching skills, and facilitation for groups of professionals. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
As a Speech and Language Therapist I specialise in the assessment of children and young people for Autistic Spectrum Disorder. I am trained and have significant experience in assessment for ASD, and offer assessment packages in collaboration with skilled and experienced colleagues. ABOUT ME
I am a coach with experience of working in health, social care, education and the voluntary sectors. I have many years of management experience, managing large teams of diverse health staff and have held the role of CQC registered manager. I have always used a coaching approach in my work and was drawn to coaching as soon as I discovered it. I have a Diploma in Life Coaching, accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body. I am a Member of the Association for Coaching.
I have experience and a particular interest in coaching health, social care, education and voluntary sector professionals. I receive positive feedback from people I work with who are facing life changes.
I have a clinical background as a speech and language therapist and I work with teenagers and children with autism. I am HCPC registered and a member of the Royal College of Speech and language Therapists. I have significant experience and expertise in neuro-developmental assessments for a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder. These assessments are offered in collaboration with skilled and experienced colleagues.
I have a BSc in Speech Therapy, an MA in Linguistics in Education and have completed a Certificate in Health and Social Services Management. I have also completed additional training in Advanced Restorative Justice, an NHS coaching masterclass, Working with Parents, Root Cause Analysis and Mental Health First aid for Adolescents.
I am a National Autistic Society accredited Early Bird Plus parent programme facilitator/trainer. I am trained to use the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and have extensive experience of using this assessment as part of a team with children and young people across the age span. I am also trained in the administration of the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO). I can offer independent assessments in collaboration with other skilled and experienced colleagues.
I have undertaken Social Thinking training with Michelle Garcia Winner and am available to undertake pieces of work with young people who would benefit from this approach.

NEURO-DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR AUTISTIC SPECTRUM DISORDER
Assessment involves two elements - the diagnostic interview and the assessment of the child or young person. Assessments are carried out jointly by myself and an experienced and trained colleague.
